Shalu Special Highway 1
Shalu
1. The project cuts through the Shalu section of Freeway 2 at 175K and it forms the Shalu Interchange. The road is 50 meters wide and 3717 meters long. This two-way road has four lanes each way and eight lanes in total. The median strip is 3.5 meters long. There is a rectangular culvert, U-shaped side gutter, and 4m pedestrian walkway underneath. As a whole, it appears to be an international boulevard.
2. This is part of the Six-year National Development Plan, with a large slope and large curvature. The calculation required extreme precision and the overall high range is up to 101 meters. The difficulty in controlling the high range added to the required work and complexity. The AC flatness required a high level of technique and it was not easy to control. It was successfully completed under joint collaboration of the professional and skilled construction team and marked another big step forward for Kong Chou Construction to realize its huge vision.
